Why did the weekend have to go by so quickly? I left Friday at 4 to drive to Chicago and see Billy. I can't believe how excited and nervous I was to see his beautiful blue eyes again. I got to Chicago around 7:45 and quickly checked into the hotel and unpacked while looking out the window hoping to chatch a glimps of him before he got into the hotel. Then around 8:15 his white GMC Envoy pulled up and he stepped out. He looked so cute in his black sweater and jeans. So after about a minute I opened the door to the room and watched as he walked down the hall. Outside I was just smiling but inside I was doing flips from shear joy of seeing him. We talked and watched television, listened to music and looked at different pictures that I've taken with my digital camera. It was a fantastic evening. Then around 1:30 he left to go home and I went to bed.
Saturday morning I got up around 8:30, which is late for me, and did my yoga practice and ate some continental breakfast. Then waited for Billy to arrive. After he got there we went to the Metra train station and rode to downtown Chicago and went to Michigan avenue. Let me just say that downtown Chicago is cold. We both froze or bums off and my chin was so numb that I couldn't hardly talk. But we had a great time window shopping, buying tea in the bookstore and looking around water tower mall. Then I made the decision to catch a cab back to the train station because there was no way I was going to walk the 3 miles back to the train station in the freezing cold. So we rode the train back out to the suburbs and went back to the hotel for a nap before dinner. Around 8:00 we met Kate at the Olive Garden for dinner and had a wonderful time. Kate is so fun and so in love with Scot. You can just see how her face brightens up when she talks about him. She also told Billy or Scot, not sure which, that Billy and I made a special couple. That was really sweet. Then Billy and I headed back to the hotel and fell asleep around 11:30.
Sunday morning I woke up around 8:30 and watched Billy sleep until about 10:00. He really is so cute when he is asleep. The movement of his eyes and slow rising and lower of his chest as he was breathing. It really was very endearing. I went down and made us some waffles at the continental breakfast and got us some orange juice. We ate breakfast and talked and it was just so sweet and nice.
Scot told me today that he hasn't seen me this happy before and after thinking about it for a while I think he is right. I don't know that I have been this happy in a really long time. Meeting Billy has happened so suddenly and normally that would bother me but for some reason with Billy it doesn't. It just feels like I've known him for a long time. His spirit is just so sweet and kind and seems so in tune to mine. I guess I don't know how to explain it exactly. I can say though that I'm very happy that I met him and thinking of him makes me smile and I think that he feels the same way.
