Willow

I have to apologize to Julie and Willow. They earned their UKC Champion title some time ago and I forgot to update her name on her web page. I'm sorry. I've updated it now though. :) For those that don't know Willow is the first Champion from Beebe's puppies and she is a cute and sweet little girl. In fact she is almost exactly like her mom, except she has an even sweeter personality.

Everyone have a good New Years!!!

Linda Eder is a Wicked one.

Following my earlier post I've continued to look through my old CD's and find all the hidden treasures I've accumilated over the years. This evening I ran across a CD of Linda Eder. Many of you I'm sure have never heard of her but I will never forget her. Let's see...It all happened back my senior year in High School. I was on my orchestra's spring trip to Minneapolis where we had planned a fun filled 4 days of shopping at the Mall Of America, watching dinner theatre, and attending a concert by Linda Eder. I suppose that you would say that she falls into the Jazz genre or somewhere close. Up to that point, much to the dismay of my theory teacher, I was not very interested in Jazz music. I was a classical violinist for crying out loud and could never be interested in jazz. So off we went to the concert and I loved it!!! Now she is a Broadway singer and doing well in Jekyll and Hyde. If you ever have some free time you should visit her on the web at http://www.lindaeder.com/default.asp

I've also been reading the book Wicked for the last week or so and have to say it is a fantastic book. If you ever find yourself wanting a new book to read I highly recommend it. I'm only about half way through, but I can tell you that I will never watch the Wizard of Oz in the same way again.

Happy Holidays to all, specially Beebe's Squishies...Broc, Willow, Duncan, Pongo and Nicky.

Les Miserables

For those that don't know I'm a huge fan of music. I play the violin and can even play the piano a little. So it isn't extremely suprising that I own over 300 CD's. Of course I purchased each of those CD's because I loved the music on it. Of course owning that many CD's often means you forget about some of the CD's you purchased years ago. This morning I was going through all my music and came across the first CD I ever purchased back in High School. It was Les Miserables - Complete Symphonic Recording. This musical is just wonderful and has a timeless story which I believe speaks to every generation. For those that haven't seen it I highly recommend it!!

Do what with a glue gun?

Can everyone say BRRRRRR?!? It was so nice and warm in November, kind of like an early x-mas present, and then this. I'm completely convinced that someone pissed off the world and it's paying us back now. Ok not really...I'm just saying it's hard to go from 65 degree's down to 17 in one day.

For those that haven't started their holiday shopping I can officially taunt you because I have. I won't completely berate you for being such a huge procrastinator...I'll just sing the na na song while slowly walking by and pointing my finger at you. Now of course your first holiday shopping trip should be to get my present. I take all gifts and money. Cards are nice too. No checks though please...the green stuff is just so much more convenient. No just kidding...I take checks too. lol

I've even been crafty this season. Jimmae and I made potpourri topiary trees. Yes they are beautiful and smell good too. What more could you ask for in a craft project I ask? Of course hot glue guns, potpourri and fingers do not always get along so very well together. Luckily I got away with only some 2nd degree glue burns on my fingers.

Everyone stay warm!!! But not with a hot glue gun!
