SBIS Ch Bohem All About Eve ROM
Bliss Posing
“Bliss” came to us from Bo Bengtson’s remarkable “French” litter in which the
sisters BIS Ch Bohem C’est La Vie (top 5 whippet), BIS SBIS CH Bohem Belle Du
Jour (top 5 whippet) and Ch Bohem Ooh-La-La caused quite a stir in the whippet
world both in and out of the show ring. Of course these girls were preceded by
many Best in Show and Specialty winning siblings and their mother, SBIS CH
Bohem All About Eve (Annie) was already recognized as a world class brood
bitch so it came as no surprise that when bred to the handsome young
internationally recognized BIS SBIS DCh Chelsea Long Kiss Goodnight FCh there
would be some beautiful puppies in the litter. In total Annie produced 14 AKC
bench champions from three quality packed litters worldwide, many of whom are
producing beautiful offspring themselves.
With such world famous siblings doing so well it seemed our beautiful Bliss
would never catch up (and never did) in the show ring. Bliss did make an
important contribution and helped round out her family by becoming her
mother’s only field champion offspring. Bliss’ ASFA field career was as fast
as her sister’s fabulous show careers and in a total of 3 weekends out had all
of her placements. On the coursing field Bliss never failed to draw
attention, competitors were often surprised to find that she was from show
lines. She was so agile and quick that we were asked on more than one
occasion if we had trained her on the rabbit. At Bliss’ first AKC coursing
she grabbed a 3 point major. Unfortunately we don’t have many AKC coursing
events close but will continue to work towards her AKC field title.
Bliss Playing Frisbee
Bliss is a truly beautiful dog and draws many admirers wherever we go
(sometimes to the annoyance and embarrassment of her dad). Watching her play
Frisbee or run and play with her housemates at the dog park is a breathtaking
sight and again often draws remarks of admiration of her speed, agility, gracefulness
and beauty. At home she is peaceful and sweet and loves nothing more than to
sneak soft kisses onto your cheek while curled up next to you on the couch.
